On 19 February 2006 soldiers from 10th Mountain, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry conducted Operation Vigilant Warrior in the Village of Oswesat on the Euphrates River. The purpose of the Air Assault Operation was to capture suspected terrorist and capture and destroy large caches of ordnance to deter terrorist from conducting a planned raid on the Abu Ghraib Prison.
