The ANZIO supplied the dhow with water, fuel and food to sustain her crew of 24 for their transit home. Responding to a distress call, U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to a rescue and assistance team from the Ticonderoga Class Guided Missile Cruiser USS ANZIO (CG 68), use a Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat to provide aid to the motor vessel SINAA, a 35-meter Iranian-flagged dhow on November 10, 2006. The ANZIO supplied the dhow with water, fuel and food to sustain her crew of 24 for their transit home. The ANZIO is deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations in the Fifth Fleet area of operations. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
