At missions end, US Navy (USN) Patrol Squadron 8 (VP-8), Fighting Tigers, Combat Air Crew 2(CAC-2) members walk away from their P-3C Orion, heading for a debrief. The Fighting Tigers are home ported at Naval Air Station (NAS) Brunswick, Maine, and currently deployed to the Mediterranean theater with detachments at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily and Naval Support Activity Souda Bay. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research worth, or provide information of value to citizens.
