Tornado - Auburn, Ala. , September 2, 2011 -  The roar of hammers overwhelms the shop in the Miller Gorie Center of Auburn University as students and professors assemble a FEMA DAWG HAUS. The DAWG HAUS or Disaster Avoidance With Good Home Attenuating-Unionization System is a wind-resistant techniques of building. After an outbreak of tornados swept through Alabama in April, Auburn's Integrated Design and Construction students have an opportunity to exchange ideas with FEMA's mitigation team. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
