CAPT. Doug Schaare, F-16CJ pilot assigned to the 389th Fighter Squadron at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, poses near his aircraft. He is a SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) pilot. The F-16CJ is equipped with HARM (High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles) and the Maverick AGM-65 air-to-ground missiles. He is available to take out enemy radar during Operation Southern Watch missions over Iraq. Published in AIRMAN Magazine October 1996

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
