Twenty-seven Japanese veterans from tank units stationed on the neighboring island of Saipan during World War II (WWII) came to pay respects to fallen comrades during a 60th Anniversary reunion. These veterans had family and friends stationed on Guam, and they didn't learn of their fates for years following the war. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
