The M88A1 comes from the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis, Washington. The railhead will transport various types of tracked vehicles from the Port of Pusan to Camp Humphreys where they will link up with the rest of their contingent and continue their mission in exercise Foal Eagle '98

Republic of Korea Forces Beach Masters direct a U.S. Navy Landing Craft (LCU) from Okinawa, Japan, to the shore during the combined amphibious beach assault at Tak San Ri Beach near Pohang, South Korea, in support of Exercise FOAL EAGLE 2000. FOAL EAGLE is the largest Joint and Combined field training drill conducted annually in South Korea, running from October 25th to November 3rd. About 25,000 U.S. troops will take part in the drill, including active duty, Reserve and National Guard troops from bases in the United States and elsewhere in the Pacific. The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt. NARA keeps those Federal records that are judged to have continuing value—about 2 to 5 percent of those generated in any given year.
