[Hurricane Katrina] Hurricane clips, shown circled above, help anchor roofs to the main structure to prevent detachment due to sever wind. These clips can be found at many hardware stores, and are an inexpensive way to mitigate homes against sever losses from hurricanes. Also note that the main gun deck has been removed. The ship is being returned to her Civil War appearance. The RRF cargo ship CAPE ARCHWAY (T-AK-5011) is tied up in the background at the Maryland Port Administration pier No. 3

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service.
