An aerial starboard bow view of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN-72) mooring at its future homeport. The LINCOLN is the first aircraft carrier to pull in at the newly constructed pier. An Austin class amphibious transport ship (LPD) and a foreign naval vessel are moored on the opposite side of the dock. The LINCOLN is scheduled to change homrports from NAS Alameda, California to Everett in late 1996

The objects in this collection are from The U.S. National Archives and Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was established in 1934 by President Franklin Roosevelt.
