A Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense
Summary
A Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense Marine with 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, scans a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System for contagions during a decontamination exercise on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 12, 2019. Decontamination is the first step in dealing with biological warfare. Though not a permanent solution, it prevents further spread of hazardous agents. Decontamination training keeps 3d Marine Division ready to fight in any type of environment. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Kyle P. Bunyi)
