The Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition and a variety of Olympic type sports ranging from bowling, swimming, basketball and more. These events provide children and adults with intellectual disabilities opportunities to develop physical fitness, camaraderie, and new found friendships with the volunteers to include U.S. Military personnel and civilians on base.
