Summary
Airman 1st Class Brian Lewment directs the unloading of a generator from a C-17 aircraft during the 1st Infantry Division's Relief in Place/Transfer of Authority at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, March 20, 2012. Lewment is a loadmaster with the 816th Air Expeditionary Squadron and is deployed from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. Communication was key in the execution of the RIP/TOA, a joint operation that allowed the 1st Infantry Division to successfully settle into it's new responsibilities working with the Afghan National Security Forces.
