An F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 194th Fighter Squadron, California Air National Guard is seen from the ramp of a C-17 attached to the 535th Airlift Squadron over the big island of Hawaii, July 16, 2010, after each of the aircraft had completed scenarios in support of the Rim of the Pacific Exercise. An air drop was conducted to illustrate to the social media world the capabilities of Pacific Air Forces during the Rim of the Pacific Exercise. RIMPAC is a U.S. Pacific Fleet led biennial exercise that stresses that interoperability is a key element of regional security and tests participating nations and strengthens their ability to communicate and operate in simulated air, land and maritime scenarios.
