Summary
Andris Razans, Latvian ambassador to the United States, visited Adazi Military Base, Latvia, March 19, 2015. Razans met with U.S. and Latvian military forces to discuss joint partnership between the U.S. and Latvia throughout Operation Atlantic Resolve. During the visit, Razans attended a live-fire mortar exercise and a static display hosted by service members of Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment. Operation Atlantic Resolve is the enhanced land force multinational training and security cooperation activities taking place across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to ensure multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships among allied militaries, contribute to regional stability and demonstrate U.S. commitment to NATO.
