ARABIAN GULF (June 5, 2017) U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician 1st Class Peter Chambers, assigned to Task Group (TG) 56.1, stands by to be recovered after conducting a static-line jump over the Arabian Gulf June 5. TG 56.1 conducts mine countermeasures, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage diving and force protection operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the U.S. 5th fleet area of operations.
