The American flag draped casket of Medal of Honor recipient, retired US Navy (USN) Vice Admiral (VADM) James B. Stockdale, carried from the US Naval Academy Chapel by the ceremonial guard. Friends, family members and shipmates gathered to attend the funeral service for the former Naval Aviator, Vietnam prisoner of war (POW), test pilot, academic and Medal of Honor recipient who died July 5, at the age of 81. He was a member of the US Naval Academy Class of 1947
