Athletes of varying levels earn awards during the 37th annual Special Olympics March 23 at Okkodo High School, Guam during Exercise Guahan Shield. Service members from the island teamed up with the local community to conduct the Guam Special Olympics. Guahan Shield is an exercise aimed to facilitate multiservice engagements, set conditions for bilateral and multilateral training opportunities, and support rapid response to potential crises and contingency operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
