Summary
Australian Defence Force Battle Group Ram (Infantry) from Brisbane, Queensland, responds to the amphibious assault by the U.S. Marines on the Capricorn Coast as part of Talisman Sabre 2011. The Battle Group was staging at Capricorn Caves, a caravan park located midway between Rockhampton and Freshwater Beach, the site of the amphibious assault. TS11 is an exercise designed to train U.S. and Australian forces to plan and conduct combined task force operations to improve combat readiness and interoperability on a variety of missions from conventional conflict to peacekeeping and humanitarian assistance efforts.
