description

Summary

CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – More than 40 chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) Soldiers took part in a joint training exercise that included instruction on the use of the AN/UDR-14 pocket radiac set. The pocket radiac set is designed to detect and measure nuclear radiation from fallout, radiological contamination, and nuclear detonations. The training took place from March 25-29. The U.S. Army soldiers exchanged information about the AN/UDR-14 with soldiers with the Kuwait Land Forces (KLF) Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Battalion. U.S. Army and KLF soldiers learned one another’s decontamination, reconnaissance, radiation detection, and various CBRN hazard response techniques and enhanced their interoperability through shared information and knowledge.
