Chief Warrant Officer Craig Wheeler, right, listens to his instructor pilot Chief Warrant Officer Dean Rayne as they prepare for the final evaluation flight in the UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter qualification course during the evening at Simmons Army Airfield, Sept. 17. Sixteen pilots, from the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, graduated from the course, Sept. 20, marking the beginning of the Pegasus Brigade’s transition from the older UH-60L model to the much evolved UH-60M model Blackhawk. Wheeler, a native of Stamford, Conn., serves as the brigade standardization pilot with the 82nd CAB. Rayne, a Georgetown, Del., native, serves an instructor pilot with the United States Army Directorate of Evaluations and Standardizations, out of Fort Rucker, Ala.
