Coalition security force members scan the area for potential enemies while searching for a Taliban leader in Maiwand District, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, April 25, 2013. The leader had operational control over a group of fighters responsible for a significant number of attacks against Afghan and coalition forces throughout Kandahar province. He also served as a tactical adviser to senior Taliban leadership in the area, and coordinated Afghan enemy logistic operations between different cells of fighter.
