Summary
Corporal Isaac Garcia, a native of Corpus Christi, Texas, patrols during a two-day mission in Larr Village, Afghanistan, May 22, 2014. Garcia, a mortarman with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, and the rest of the unit conducted several patrols to disrupt Taliban fighters in the area and gather intelligence. The infantrymen received small-arms and machinegun fire from enemy fighters during the second day of the operation. They concluded the operation by extracting from the area by CH-53E Super Stallions.
