F-16 crew chiefs pose with a 9/11 flag
Summary
F-16 crew chiefs with the South Carolina Air National Guard pose with a 9/11 flag that has the names of every person that died Sept. 11, 2001 during the terrorist attacks. The flag was donated and the airmen took a moment during their deployment to Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, to pose with the flag Aug. 1, 2012. Personnel are deployed from McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Swamp Fox F-16s, pilots, and support personnel began their air expeditionary force deployment early April to take over flying missions for the air tasking order and provide close air support for troops on the ground in Afghanistan.
