Michele Pellegrino, Deputy Chief of Staff of Strategic Partnering for the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters, takes part in a Memorial Day ceremony held May 30, 2011 at the Destille Gardens located inside the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters compound in the capital city of Kabul, Afghanistan. More than 300 U.S. and coalition forces turned out for the festivities including a ceremony in which Rear Adm. Martha Herb, Chief Secretariat, Military Technical Agreement Joint Command Body for ISAF and Command Sgt. Maj. Marvin Hill, ISAF Headquarters/U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, both provided remarks during the ceremony. Army Maj. Ephraim Garcia, gave the benediction and closing prayer while Chief Petty Officer Charles Kittle sang the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America.
