Lance Cpl. Dennis Griffith operates a rough terrain crane during the practical application portion of a crane licensing course Aug. 12 on Camp Hansen. “We are the first batch of Marines from our battalion to receive this training,” said Griffith. “Being able to use this crane expands our heavy equipment abilities making us more versatile in our work load.” Griffith is a Pikeville, Kentucky, native and heavy equipment operator with 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, III MEF.
