Summary
Lance Cpl. Dylan T. Perrone, left, lists objects the Marines and sailors observed as part of a Kim’s game, also known as a “keep-in-memory” game, during the jungle endurance course June 20 at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, Marine Corps Installations Pacific. During a Kim’s game, several objects are placed in a designated area, and participants have to memorize and later list every object with as much detail as possible. The memory game trains service members to become more aware of their surroundings, which could prove crucial to survival in a jungle environment. Perrone is an Andrews, North Carolina, native and rifleman with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, which is currently assigned to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
