Local service members, families and students gathered at Carolina Forest International Elementary School attempting to create the world’s largest Yellow Ribbon in celebration of the Month of the Military Family at the elementary school in Jacksonville, N.C., Nov. 15. This was the school’s third attempt at setting the record, missing their goal by only 200 people the first time.
