Lt. Col. Gordon Ford (left), pilot and executive officer, and Maj. Christopher Krahulec, pilot, both with Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron-234, fly a KC-130T Super Hercules aircraft while Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Steen (far right), flight engineer with VMGR-452, oversees and monitors the instruments in the aircraft July 1, 2012. Marines from VMGR-234 based out of Fort Worth, Texas and VMGR-452 based out of Stewart, N.Y., recently joined Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-12.2 as the air combat element to provide airlift support for security cooperation missions on the African continent.
