Maj. Gen. John R. O’Connor, commanding general of the 21st Theater Sustainment Command, tours the transportation vessel “Liberty Promise” at the port of Riga March 9. O’Connor, Latvian political and military leaders, and a key U.S. diplomat toured the ship and port, and met with logisticians, stevedores and Soldiers as well as members of Latvian and international media during their visit. The general came to the port in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing mission designed to exemplify U.S. and NATO commitment to the region, build allied capability and interoperability, and bolster regional security and stability.
