Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia, senior enlisted adviser to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his wife, Lisa, participated in the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run Sept. 29 as part of their visit to New York City. Stephen Siller was a New York City firefighter who ran from Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center towers the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. Sadly, Stephen died when the tower collapsed.
