Members of Echo Company, 1-189th General Support Aviation
Summary
Members of Echo Company, 1-189th General Support Aviation Battalion were tested on their proficiency at setting up and manning Fat Cow Operations on November 2, 2019. The exercise uses a CH-47 Chinook as a portable refueling system called a Fat Cow. By using a CH-47 Chinook, this allows for the adaptability needed to place a forward arming and refueling point (FARP) anywhere they can land. Thus, extending the range of operations by providing a fuel stop without the use of ground vehicles.
