Members of the Afghan National Directorate of Security
Summary
Members of the Afghan National Directorate of Security toured the Justice Center in Parwan, May 23, 2012, to gain a better understanding of the Afghan judicial process. The tour included a viewing of a JCIP trial, a walk-through of the Afghan Criminal Techniques Academy and a tour of the newly-constructed facilities included in the expansion plans of the JCIP. The tour was guided by Navy Rear Adm. James Crawford, commander, Rule of Law Field Force Afghanistan; Air Force Brig. Gen. Dash Jamieson, deputy commander, Combined Joint Interagency Task Force 435; and Afghan Col. Ayal, criminal techniques directorate, Afghan Ministry of Interior. In this photo, Fazel Ahmad (right), ACTA instructor, demonstrates the Keesing Kit to Afghan Maj. Gen. Noorullah Sadat (left), general director, National Directorate of Security and Ayal (middle). The Keesing Kit is used to scan passports at security check points and Kabul International Airport. The information collected is then compared to the national security database.
