Mount McKinley rises above the Alaska Range near Talkeetna, Alaska, May 20. A team of eight soldiers and one Department of the Army civilian from Fort Wainwright were transported by CH-47 Chinook helicopter to the National Park Service base camp on Kahiltna Glacier where they began their attempt to climb North America's tallest peak.
