Summary
Mount Redoubt volcano spews ash and smoke into the air May 1, 2009. Mount Redoubt is in the Aleutian Range just west of Cook Inlet. Before May, the volcano last became active in January 2009. (Coast Guard photo/PA1 Sara Francis)
