ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Marine Safety Detachment Kenai personnel conducted a daily ice patrol in Nikiski Monday, Jan. 4, 2009. The unit conducts ice patrols to maintain a current picture of the conditions so they can adjust the ice guidelines and put additional safety measures in to place as warranted to minimize the risk of marine casulaties to vessels operating in Cook Inlet.
