Pararescuemen and Combat Rescue Officers assigned to the 103rd Rescue Squadron of the New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing jump from a C-17 flown by the 204th Airlift Squadron of the Hawaii Air National Guard's 154th Wing during joint training with Human Space Flight Support Detachment 3 in the waters off Marine Corps Base Hawaii on March 5 2017. The Airmen were testing an inflatable device known as the "Front Porch" intended to be mated to the Orion spacecraft, and used to support astronauts who have made a water landing following a flight during exercise Aloha Sentry.
