Michael Reynolds, left, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., and a crew chief assigned to Night Fury, an AH-64D Apache helicopter, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Shaun Steines, right, a native of Alpha, Ill., and a maintenance test pilot, both members of Company A, Task Force Attack, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, currently attached to 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, look for the tools they will need in order to perform a track and balance on Night Fury at Forward Operating Base Sharana, Afghanistan, July 21. A track and balance is performed after a 125 hour scheduled maintenance event in order to make sure the rotor blades are properly balanced. Night Fury was recently the first AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter in the U.S. military to reach 10,000 flight hours.
