Summary
Pfc. Trevor Sheek clears oleoresin capsicum from his eyes during nonlethal weapons training at Camp Pendleton March 22, 2016. During the training, Marines were sprayed with OC and then neutralized several simulated attackers while combating the effects of the weapon. OC spray commonly causes a burning sensation and visual impairment. This training ensures that Marines with 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, can apply the level of force appropriate for any situation while deployed with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit later this year. Sheek, a native of Roseville, is a field artillery cannoneer with 2nd Bn., 11th Marines. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Caitlin Bevel/RELEASED)
