Lines are connected from the nuclear-powered attack submarine ex-USS NAUTILUS (SSN 571) to the large harbor tug PUSHMATAHA (YTB 830), as the submarine is towed from Naval Shipyard Mare Island to San Francisco Bay. It will then be towed to Groton, Connecticut, by the fleet tug USS QUAPAW (ATF 110)

A petty officer waits at pier No. 33 for the arrival of the nuclear-powered attack submarine ex-USS NAUTILUS (SSN 571). The large harbor tug NEGWAGON (YTB 834) is assisting the submarine. The NAUTILUS will remain at the Submarine Force Library and Museum as a memorial
