The Panama-Pacific International Exposition was a world's fair held in San Francisco, California, in 1915 to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal and to showcase San Francisco's recovery from the 1906 earthquake. The fair featured many elaborate exhibits and attractions, including the Palace of Fine Arts, the Tower of Jewels, and the first transcontinental telephone call.
