Summary

QUANTICO, Va. - Lisa McGuire listens to retired Lt. Col. Joseph Shusko teach warrior ethics during Marine Corps Recruiting Command’s 2018 Educators and Key Leaders Workshop aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, June 20. The workshop establishes mutually beneficial relationships between Marine officer selection officers and educators; community leaders and educators experience an all-expense-paid trip to Quantico in efforts to develop their leadership skills and learn about career opportunities in the Marine Corps. Shusko is the director of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Center of Excellence. McGuire is an assistant director for corporate partner relations at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by LCpl. Naomi Marcom)
