Rear Adm. Walter E. “Ted” Carter Jr., president, U.S. Naval War College (NWC) in Newport, R.I., Joe Pangborn, NWC command information officer and Colin Jackson, NWC professor, participate in a pre-game warm-up prior to the 2014 Winter President’s Cup hockey game at Portsmouth Abbey Ice Hockey Rink in Portsmouth, R.I. The NWC Student team defeated the NWC Faculty/Staff team 6-1. The President’s Cup is a semi-annual sports competition held at NWC that promotes fitness and friendly competition between service members, civilians, staff and students.
