Sailors and Marines deployed aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41) explore St. Peter's Basilica while on a guided tour of the Vatican City and Rome during a port visit in Naples, Italy, Jan. 18. Whidbey Island is deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
