Sergeant Tyrose Lawas, right, a warehouse clerk with Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, and Sgt. Four meritoriously promoted sergeants shared an afternoon with the commanding general, Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, the 1st MLG sergeant major, and Master Chief Petty Officer Harlan B. Patawaran, the 1st MLG command master chief. The gathering served as an ideal opportunity to draw on the leaders’ knowledge and experience through discussions of leadership, work ethic, family life, and what it means to be a sergeant of Marines. The four Marines promoted included Sgt. Lawas, Sgt. Primeaux, Sgt. Nadia Gonzalezdiez, a food service specialist with Food Service Company, Headquarters Regiment, and Sgt.
