Sgt. Joshua W. Floch, 864th Engineer Battalion, CENTCOM Materiel Recovery Element and native of Tulsa, Okla., was awarded the Combat Action Badge, Oct. 7, at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, from Brig. Gen. Duane Gamble, deputy commanding general, 1st Theater Sustainment Command, Lt. Col. John W. Henderson, battalion commander, 864th Engineer Battalion, CENTCOM Material Recovery Element, and Sgt. Maj. James M. Lambert, senior enlisted adviser, 1st TSC (Afghanistan). Floch was awarded the CAB for coming under hostile enemy fire, May 6. He was credited for taking charge of the nearby troops and getting them to a bunker and accounting for their safety.
