Signs of the wildfires that moved through Sevier County and city of Gatlinburg in November 2016 still remain Jan. 25, 2018 near the Gatlinburg Bypass Overlook. Members of the Tennessee Silver Jackets team toured the area and received a briefing on the wildfires from local officials. Silver Jackets is an innovative partnership where local, state and federal agencies facilitate flood risk reduction, coordinates programs, promotes cohesive solutions, synchronizes plans and policies, and ultimately provides integrated solutions.
