Soldiers assigned to B Company, 5th Battalion, 20th

Soldiers assigned to B Company, 5th Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment, practice clearing a room prior to maneuvering through the urban assault complex at Yakima Training Center, Wash., Sept. 6. The soldiers are taking part in Operation Rising Thunder 13 alongside members of the 16th Regimental Combat Team, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. It was a learning event for both forces, as the units took turns observing each other traverse the course. The three-week combined training event is designed to exercise and develop all war-fighting functions for both Japanese and U.S. forces.
