Staying safe in summer heat
Summary
Being exposed to hot weather can lead to heat-related illnesses including heat exhaustion and heat stroke, but taking proper precautions may reduce the likelihood of illness. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, precautions include staying hydrated, and wearing lightweight and light-colored clothing.
