Storied Geronimo Battalion recognized with Safety Streamer

U.S. Army Col. Matthew McFarlane, the commander of the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, and Command Sgt. Maj. Terry Gardner, the senior enlisted adviser for 4-25 ABCT, attach a Safety Excellence Streamer on the 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Colors May 3, 2013, for their safety performance from May 2012 through April 2013. During this time the battalion completed 12 months without a class “A” or “B” accident, injury, or damage to government property. This accomplishment included a 10-month deployment to Afghanistan and redeployment Reset/Training periods with airborne operations in arctic conditions reaching below zero degrees.
