The North Dakota Air National Guard's primary aircraft is the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The unit's nickname, "Happy Hooligans", is proudly displayed on each of the F-16 tailflashes. In the background is an F-4D Phantom, which the unit flew from 1977 until converting to the F-16 in 1990
